Iyengar Yoga – General Level drop-in class

Barbara Boris, Woodstock’s only Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher is back teaching her highly popular Sunday Iyengar Yoga Class. This is NOT a class for raw beginners. You should have some Iyengar Yoga experience, or at least one year of any style of yoga, and an open mind.
Iyengar Yoga emphasizes safe alignment in every pose. You’ll work on balancing strength, flexibility, and stamina in every class. We use props to give stability, prevent over-stretching, and allow you to do poses with better alignment. Alternate poses will be suggested if you need them. Each class will give you a comprehensive yoga experience incorporating body, prana, mind, and emotions for healing. Sanskrit and yoga philosophy are taught in every class. We keep the room temperature at 72 degrees, windows open, and fans on if we’re able to. Only 20 people can be in the room, so please register in advance through MindBody Online.
