Woodworking Class: Live Edge Table Build

Each student will get to pick a flitch of locally harvested and kiln dried hard wood. The students will then use draw knives sanders and other hand tools to remove any bark and smooth the live edge. Community Sailing Program at Maritime Museum Sailing School

Beginning June 1st, this new initiative is modeled after community sailing programs across the U.S. that work to promote, expand and support public sailing education and experiences. Participants are required to have US Sailing Basic Keelboat certification or its equivalent, and sessions must include at least two registered participants. Membership in the museum’s Community Sailing Program is $1,200-$1,350 for the four-month season.
