Join experienced woodworker and luthier Bill Sterling in this start-to-finish dulcimer kit build. The dulcimer is a stringed musical instrument of the zither family which first appeared in the Appalachian region in the early 19th century. In this 1-day class parents and children will get creative and create a cardboard dulcimer to take home and enjoy together. Registration required.

HRMM Class: Nautical Rope Wreath

Join instructor Becky Sellinger for this 1-day class creating a nautical rope wreath. Each student will craft a beautiful piece to add some sea-themed flair to their holiday decor. Students will weave together nautical rope and assemble it onto a backing that can be hung on their front door. HRMM Class: Wooden Block Plane

Participants will start with a block of wood and mill out the various wooden parts to hold the plane iron and adjusting mechanism. The wooden body will then be shaped to the student's preference. By the end of the class participants will have a working hand plane to bring home to use in in other projects. Registration required.
