Winter seed sowing workshop in Gardiner
January 21 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
A winter seed sowing workshop with host Angela Sisson from the Wallkill Valley Pollinator Pathway will take place on Saturday, January 21 (snow date January 22) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gardiner Library.
Learn how to sow seeds in winter to cut down on purchasing expensive native plants for pollinators this spring. Each container can hold as many as 200 seedlings of a single species. These seedlings can be replanted to a garden or landscape.
The cost for materials and two containers is $10. More information and registration required on the online calendar at www.gardinerlibrary.org. The library is located at 133 Farmer’s Turnpike in Gardiner.
