Celebrating its 25th Anniversary making Shakespeare accessible to all, the Woodstock Shakespeare Festival will go on this summer to feature William Shakespeare’s Long Lost First Play (Abridged). Directed by David Aston-Reese, the play was written by Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor of the Reduced Shakespeare Company, the same group that created The Complete Works of Wm. Shakespeare (Abridged).
Three actors found in the Bird-On-A-Cliff Theatre Company Shakespeare’s first play, written when he was 17. The actors must perform 47 of the Bard’s villains, kings and heroes.
Performance will take place on the Festival’s outdoor stage, where there is plenty of fresh air and room for social distancing. Bring a chair, bring a blanket, bring a picnic, bring a mask.
