Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County’s Agriculture Program, in collaboration with Dr. Eleanor Acworth from All Animal Veterinary Services in Modena, New York, will offer the web-based course.

This introductory course provides an excellent opportunity for farmers and citizens to refresh and gain knowledge of key zoonotic diseases of animals. We will cover the most common and serious diseases that can affect people, common livestock species, and companion pets. The course is web-based and includes lessons, case studies, and online resources to assist course participants in educating themselves about zoonotic disease prevention.

This is part one of a two-part series. The workshop is free, but pre-registration is required. The deadline to register is July 27th at 5pm. To learn more about this webinar and to register visit ulster.cce.cornell.edu/ZoonoticDiseases.

For more information call CCE Ulster’s Livestock Educator Jason Detzel at 340-3990 ext. 327, or email jbd222@cornell.edu.
