Sashiko Stitching at Gardiner Library

Gardiner Library hosts Sashiko Stitching with Denise Aumick on Sunday, August 21 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Sashiko is a popular type of traditional Japanese embroidery. Adults and ages 12+ will hand stitch a Sashiko design onto a piece of cloth that can be used to decorate jackets, jeans, pillows, etc.
Aumick has been sewing for decades and has a passion for sharing the creative and therapeutic benefits of hand stitching with others. She is also a visual artist who creates with paints, papers and other materials.
The cost of $10 per person includes all materials needed. Registration is required at www.gardinerlibrary.org. The library is located at 133 Farmer’s Turnpike.
