Millbrook Mountain Loop Hike at Minnewaska

Join Nick Martin, Park Educator, for an approximately five-mile hike to Millbrook Mountain and back. This cliff-side, scenic vista features panoramic views of the Park Preserve, Mohonk Preserve, and the Wallkill Valley. The one-mile footpath section of this route descends and ascends approximately 700 feet and includes one stream crossing as well as uneven, slippery surfaces, that some participants may find challenging. The rest of the walk will take place on Lake Minnewaska and Millbrook Mountain Carriage Roads, which provide a flat, stable walking surface. Participants must come prepared with appropriate footwear and enough food and water for this hike. All unvaccinated participants are encouraged to wear face coverings and keep a minimum six-foot distance away from others who are not part of their immediate household. All unvaccinated visitors are required to wear a mask when inside buildings. Meet at the Lake Minnewaska Visitor Center. Pre-registration is required by calling Minnewaska at 845-255-0752.
