Quiet Village 4.0: String Theory

The Quiet Village is an annual one-day “anti-festival” of ambient music held in the Village of New Paltz. Quiet Village promotes serious ambient electronic music composers and sound artists, presenting environmental music in an outdoor setting that bypasses the traditional concert format and gallery installation paradigm. This year’s Quiet Village, “String Theory”, features artists using stringed instruments – from electric and classical guitar to ‘cello and autoharp – to create soundscapes along with electronics.
