Mohonk Preserve offers volunteer orientation, training

New volunteers are welcome and needed in all activities.

All orientations take place at the Visitor Center, located at 3197 Route 55 in Gardiner. Please check the website for descriptions and requirements for all volunteer activities. Please note that all volunteers must register at https://signup.com/go/YZUoHPi or by e-mail at volunteers@mohonkpreserve.org.

The training dates are as follows: February 17, Peregrine Watch, 6 to 7:30 p.m.; February 26, Phenology, 9 to 11 a.m.; March 5, Photographers, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.; March 19, Interpretive Guides, 9 to 11 a.m.; March 26, Back-Country Patrol, 9 to 11 a.m.; March 3, Special Events, noon to 1 p.m.; March 30, Volunteer Educators, 6 to 7 p.m.; April 2, Stream Watch, 9 to 10:30 a.m.; April 9, Bike Patrol, 12 to 1:30 p.m.; April 16, Trailhead Ambassadors, 9 to 10:30 a.m.
