HUDSY announces launch of Hudson Valley’s video streaming app
Hudson Valley digital platform and production company HUDSY (WWW.HUDSY.TV) has announced the launch of the HUDSY App, the Hudson Valley’s first video streaming app. The app features meaningful and entertaining video content about or shot in the Hudson Valley by the artists who call it home and celebrates the diverse local characters, rich history, ever-evolving culture and physical beauty of the region.
HUDSY’s mission is to empower community storytellers to make innovative and important video content about life in the region and then deliver this content on the HUDSY App. HUDSY’s team and digital streaming platform is a non-traditional business, cooperatively owned and delivered by a small group of Hudson Valley locals who are dedicated to protecting and celebrating the Hudson Valley’s talent, diversity and culture.
“There’s no reason the Hudson Valley can’t be well-known for a sweeping creative movement that offers a more equitable future for local artists,” says Jesse Brown, HUDSY Co-Founder. “The HUDSY team is building upon a values and integrity-driven movement in the Hudson Valley and believes in strength in numbers. We are stronger when we work together and it’s one way to build something that can take some of the attention away from the larger platforms and refocus it on our local communities where it’s needed.”
HUDSY is hitting the road this summer doing a series of events with key partners — premiering HUDSY Originals alongside live musical performances — and engaging with the community across the Hudson Valley.
Initial events include:
• July 16-17: Rosendale Street Festival (Rosendale)
• August 6: The Vanaver Caravan Summer Fest (New Paltz)
• August 20: Rock Steady Farm (Millerton)
